下午兩點至下午五點半是本次會議的第二階段，由華府台灣產業科技協會、北美臺灣人教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會共同主持2011年春季研討會。本次研討會主題是「現代精神醫學與心理學：理論、案例與臨床治療 (The Modern Psychiatrics and Physiology: theoretical model, practical example and clinical therapy) 」。 

教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會及華府台灣產業科技協會共邀請了四位分別來自台灣及美國的精神醫學及心理學專家與會。四位專家學者將分別以精神醫學及心理學的角度，探討與現代人有切身關係的主題。演說內容十分廣泛：包含現今高度競爭及壓力下常見的精神性疾病，疏離社會下的青少年問題，以及東西方宗教哲學、心靈學在心理咨詢及臨床醫學上之應用。內容精彩可期，歡迎各界踴躍參加與會。

 

講員陣容及講題包括：目前在NIH任訪問學者的臺北醫學大學助理教授、萬芳醫學中心精神科主治醫師陳俊興醫師主講「漫談現代人常見的困擾：從失眠症到憂鬱症 (From Insomnia to Depression)」，The Psychological Group of Washington 顧問蔡碩容博士主講「針對青少年行為偏差的策略性家庭療法 (Brief Strategic Family Therapy for Adolescents with Behavior Problems)」，曾於臺灣宣教、目前於Loyola University Maryland攻讀心理諮詢博士學位的Fr. Inna Edara, S.V.D. 主講「信仰與靈性在心理分析與臨床醫療上之角色：理論模式、實驗證據及可能的臨床應用 (The Role of Religiousness and Spirituality in Psychological Understanding and Clinical Practice: Theoretical Models, Empirical Evidence, and Clinical Implications)」，以及Montgomery County Commission for Women心理諮詢專家吳皓玲博士主講「正念與靈性：超越個人特質的人格成熟度預測因子﹝Mindfulness and Spirituality as Predictors of Personal Maturity Beyond the Influence of Personality Traits﹞」。
